Tyrone withdraw from Christy Ring Cup play off

Tyrone have withdrawn from their Christy Ring Cup promotion play-off against Down.
The game was due to have been played on Saturday at the Athletic Grounds.
Manager Mattie Lennon cited a lack of preparation time as the main reason for the decision not to fulfil the fixture.
The decision means that Down retain their Christy Ring Status, while the Red Hands, who won the Nicky Rackard Cup for the first time two weeks ago, will continue in the second tier competition next season.
