reports:
Hundreds are expected to turn out for the funeral of the popular 23-year-old this morning.
Darry who is originally from Rossgier, Lifford had worked in England for the past number of years.
In March he returned home for a week’s holiday to visit family and friends and celebrate St Patricks Day here in Ireland.
Just before 1am on the 21st of March the Darry BMW he was driving was in collision with road signs and a telephone poll on the Port Road.
Gardai continue to appeal for information on the crash – an officer said they found the incident to be ‘unusual’ and are trying to establish the cause of the crash.
Part of the investigating is looking at the possibility that someone else, or another vehicle, may have been involved in the crash and then left the scene.
Darry McDaids funeral mass takes place this morning at 11 o clock in Murlog Chapel in Lifford.
