McDowell retains French Open title

Graeme McDowell has retained the French Open title. 

The Portrush man  shot a 4 under 67 today to end up on 5 under par. 

Overnight leader Kevin Stadler had a disastrous final round, shooting a 5 over 76 to end the day on 4 under par in second place. 

It’s the first time McDowell has retained a title. 

Michael Hoey finished up on 1 under par, with Damien McGrane on 3 over and Gareth Maybin on 8 over.
