Two of the thirteen beached whales in Falcarragh have been brought back from the dead and refloated.
It was thought that all the remaining beached whales would have died last night and would be buried this morning.
But one local man and a group of friends went to Baliness beach in the early hours of this morning and helped refloat two of the animals. They say they were last seen swimming towards Magheraroarty.
A spokesperson for Spokesperson for National Parks and Wildlife Service says these whales should not have been refloated and there’s a high probability that these two whales will beach again. They say people think theyre doing right, but they are not.
But Gareth Doherty, who helped refloat the two whales this morning, says he couldnt sit back and watch the animals suffer….
