A cold case investigator believes that child killer Robert Black may have intended to murder a girl near Ballyshannon in 1978.
Black, who is currently serving 12 life sentences for the kidnap and murder of four girls has long been suspected of involvement in seven-year-old Mary Boyle’s presumed death a year before that.
Investigator Chris Clark said that while drinking in a bar in Dungloe the year after Mary Boyle’s death, Black started asking about her twin sister who lived in the area:
