Third WRC podium of the season for Kris Meeke

Kris Meeke finished third in this weekend’s Rally Finland on the World Rally Championship.
The County Tyrone driver and his navigator Paul Nagle drove their Citroen DS3 superbly in the showpiece event on the calendar to come home 47 seconds behind the Volkswagon of championship leader Sébastien Ogier who finished second.
The rally was won by Finnish Volkswagon driver Jari-Matti Latvala by 3.6 seconds from the Frenchman.
The result is Meeke’s third podium of the season and he also was the fastest driver on stage 7 on Friday.
Meeke started today’s short final leg in third place, comfortably clear of his nearest pursuer and able to keep a watching brief on the hectic scrap for victory in front of him.
