Stokes wins Intermediate boxing title

It was a mixed evening for the Donegal fighters at the National Boxing Intermediate Championship Finals in Dublin.
Bernie Stokes from the Bluestacks club took the 91+kg title beating Robert Kraska of Portloaise 2-1.
Twin Towns Paul Kelly lost out in the 75kg decider to Loughrea’s Ryan Dervan 2-1 and Letterkenny’s Stephen Doherty suffered the same defeat to Patrick Ward from Gurteen in the 81kg final.
Illies Golden Gloves Daryl Moran is the 48kg Intermediate Champion having been handed a walk over.
