A Donegal County Cllr is calling on 30% of new social houses to be built in rural areas.
It was announced last week that 38 new housing projects are to begin in Donegal with a total investment of € 5,800,000 as part of the first phase of the Government’s Social Housing Strategy.
Overall 507 new units will be built in Donegal over the next three years.
Cllr Martin McDermott says if 30% of these houses were built in rural areas, it could rejuvenate rural Ireland:
