A Donegal deputy says it’s clear to him that the final decision on the future structure of the NoW DOC service in Donegal will be made by GPs, and not the HSE.
Deputy Thomas Pringle met with senior HSE personnel yesterday, at which he was briefed on plans to “live test” a proposal to end the overnight service in Carndonagh and Derrybeg.
A meeting is taking place in Dore tonight to discuss the issue, with claims that although the HSE are promising a full compliment of staff and GPs operating from each centre for the duration of the test period, the centres will not be open to the public.
