Gun found during overnight search in Strabane

A gun has been found during a police search in Strabane.
The PSNI says detectives from the Serious Crime Branch investigating dissident republican terrorist activity conducted searches in the Melvin Road and Ballycolman Estate area of Strabane last night.
A suspected firearm was recovered during the search in Melvin Road and has been taken away for further forensic examination.
The operation ended shortly after 2 o’clock this morning
