SDLP Daniel McCrossan has called on police to review the way in which they carry out search operations and has warned that heavy handed approaches risk losing community confidence.
Mr McCrossan was speaking after a search operation in Ballycolman left two disabled older people left shocked and unnerved.
Speaking to Highland Radio News, he said in particular, the woman living in the house has been badly affected by the ordeal and says the operation overall was very heavy handed:
