Protest in Letterkenny as HSE “live tests” proposed NoWDOC changes

Hundreds of people are expected to gather in Letterkenny this afternoon to protest against the possible scaling back of the NoWDOC service in Donegal.
As part of a restructuring process which is underway, the HSE is ‘live testing’ the proposed scrapping of the Midnight to 8am services in Derrybeg and Carndonagh, to be replaced by one extra driver and doctor in Letterkenny to cover the whole area.
The rally gets underway this afternoon at 2 o’clock, with the protestors then marching to the NoWDOC headquarters in Oldtown.
