Fianna Fáil spokesperson on Education Charlie McConalogue says the Government’s failure to address shortages in student accommodation has led to a major crisis in the sector.
56,000 students will get their Leaving Cert results tomorrow, but thousands of them embarking on a third level course, will face a huge struggle to secure a place to stay.
Deputy McConalogue says over the past four years, the situation with student accommodation has worsened significantly without any real action being taken.
