One of two fishermen who was rushed to Letterkenny General Hospital after an incident at Killybegs pier yesterday evening has died in hospital.
The victim was a 27 year old from County Galway.
The other man, a native of the Philippines aged 46, remains in a critical condition in Letterkenny General Hospital.
The two men were cleaning the Galway fishing vessel they were both working on when they were overcome with fumes.
Gardai say an investigation has been launched into the incident and the Health and Safety Authority have been notified.
