Donegal will play Fermanagh, Down and St. Mary’s University in the Dr McKenna Cup in January.
The draw which took place at the Fitzwilliam Hotel in Belfast sees Donegal Manager Rory Gallagher take on his native county and will also give him a chance to run his eye over Down before the two sides meet in their opening league encounter at the end of the month.
Kilcar’s Martin McHugh who manages University Jordanstown will play in Section C where they have been drawn against his former county Cavan, Armagh and Ulster Champions Monaghan.
Tyrone and Derry have been drawn together in Section A along with Queens University and Antrim.
The semi finals will have the Section A winners play the Section B winners and the best runner up will take on the Section C winners.
Tyrone are going for a fifth Dr McKenna Cup title in a row.
The competitions fixtures, venues and times will be confirmed by the Ulster Council’s C CC next week.
The 2016 Dr Mc.Kenna Cup starts on Sunday 3rd January.
