Rochford takes up the Mayo Managers job

Mayo Gaa
Stephen Rochford has been appointed as the new manager of the Mayo senior footballers.
The Crossmolina native has been given an initial three-year term, which will be reviewed annually by the county board. Rochford’s appointment had been expected for several weeks after the former club All Ireland winner with Corofin had been the only candidate to succeed joint managers Pat Holmes and Noel Connelly.
The county board have also confirmed the new backroom team with Armagh All Ireland winner Tony McEntee joining as a selector and coach, which will be the same role performed once-again by Donie Buckley, who has been part of the Mayo backroom team in recent seasons.
Sean Carey will act as a third selector while former Limerick manager Maurice Horan will take charge of statistics and analysis. Arsenal’s Barry Solan will continue as Mayo’s head strength and conditioning coach.
