Donegal Oireachtas members have this week met with representatives of the HSE urging them to take over the running of Aras Gweedore nursing home in West Donegal.
The facility is run by the local community but its been claimed that anticipated future demand, coupled with the need to meet with HIQA requirements presents a challenge that the community cannot meet.
Among those at yesterday’s meeting was Deputy Thomas Pringle, he says the call on the HSE was unianimous:
