Donegal’s Carl McHugh and his team mates at Plymouth Argyle will be top of England’s League Two for Christmas.
Saturday’s 2-1 win away to Hartlepool ensured Plymouth returned to the top of the standings.
McHugh’s classy effort looked to have given Argyle the win fourteen minutes from time but Scott Fenwicks penalty gave struggling Pools a surprise lifeline.
Just minutes after giving away the penalty, Kelvin Mellor was back in the good books scoring a last minute winner for Argyle.
McHugh’s goal was his third this season.
