One of Ireland’s greatest ever Olympians will be the special guest of honour at the 40th Donegal Sports Star Awards at the end of this month.
Ronnie Delany won a gold medal in the 1500 metres at the Melbourne Olympics in 1956.
He won numerous titles and was one of Ireland’s finest ever athletes .
Over 190 people have been nominated for the prestigious awards ceremony in the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny on Friday, January 29th.
Many former award winners gathered this evening for the news that Delany will be the special guest.
