Goals in the 1st half by Paul McVeigh (10 min) and Darren McIllwaine (35 min) left Eamon McConigley’s men in a strong position at Half Time at the Aura Leisure Centre, playing with the breeze.
Middleton came back into the game on 53 minutes when Jake Hegarty scored and it was a nervous finish to the match for Rovers but they held on for victory.
