Derry’s hurlers must overcome their disappointment of last weekend’s opening day defeat if they are to beat Westmeath on Sunday.
They lost against Antrim on the first day of the new season. Despite Derry taking an early lead, Derry lost 2-12 (18) v Antrim 1-21 (24).
Derry’s PRO Dermot McPeake is now looking ahead to their trip to Mullingar for the Division 2 A Allianz National Hurling League meeting with Westmeath in Cusack Park.
