Padraig Harrington was yesterday appointed as one of Darren Clarke’s vice-captain’s for the 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine.
Paul Lawrie and Thomas Bjorn have also been named as assistants for September’s contest.
Harrington played in six Ryder Cups – winning four – and he was also vice-captain to Paul McGinley at Gleneagles in 2014.
