Housing Minster Damien English has said he will not amend the terms of reference of the Expert Panel set up to examine the issue of Mica blocks in Donegal, but will consider any business case made by Donegal County Council to address issues with publically owned buildings.
Minister English said he would be in Donegal next week, and would meet with all interested parties.
In the interim, he said, the expert group should be allowed carry out its own investigations and determine the facts.
Senator Padraig Mac Lochlainn, who raised the issue, says that’s not good enough for people in Donegal, and guarantees are needed. ………..
