Serious concerns have been raised over the lack of facilities in Donegal which would provide a sanctuary for dogs.
Yesterday it was revealed that 533 dogs were impounded in Donegal last year with 341 voluntarily left into the pound by their owner.
Founding member of Donegal Pet Rescue Gary Cooney says while there is a need for such a facility in Donegal, there are other solutions in the interim that could ease the problem……..
