Donegal’s Sinead Jennings in action in Olympics today

Donegal’s Sinead Jennings is in action today at the Rio Olympics.
She is taking part in the lightweight double sculls with Claire Lambe.
They were due to take part in their heat yesterday but it was postponed due to high winds.
Few Olympic journeys rival the road to Rio of the 39-year-old doctor and mother of three.

A former world rowing champion she qualified this time around having had disappointments before.
Determined to give it one more shot, and encouraged by former Olympic rower and husband Sam Lynch, her reward finally came last September, at the World Championships, qualifying for Rio with lightweight partner Claire Lambe.
They are due in action at around 3.30 pm.
