Ulster Unionist leader Jon Burrows is expected to announce his nomination for the post of Stormont Health Minister later today.
It follows the resignation on Tuesday night of Mike Nesbitt, who stepped down after Mr Burrows criticised a proposal to withdraw emergency surgery from the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine while the issue was still under consideration.
It’s believed the post will go to either Robbie Butler or Steve Irwin.
