Mary Boyle documentary maker says she will not retract anything from the film

The producer of the documentary “Mary Boyle – The Untold Story” has stressed she stands over her work, and will not be retracting anything in the documentary.
At the weekend, retired Detective Garda Sergeant Aidan Murray made a formal declaration to his solicitor saying that at no time during his investigation into the seven year old’s disappearance was he put under pressure.
He adds that the comments made in the documentray regarding an alleged phone call made to Ballyshannon Garda Station by a local politican were based on rumors only and that he was not aware of this alleged phonecall at the time.
Journalist Gemma O’Doherty, who made the documentary, has released a number of clips from the film for broadcast.

Gemma O’Doherty says Mr Murray is unambiguous in his comments, and she does not believe what was said is open to misinterpretation…………

In his statement, Mr Murray said an instruction from Inspector Daly to pause an interview with a suspect was because of his genuine concern for the mental health of the person being interviewed, and for no other reason.
