Derry City missed the chance to go within a point of Dundalk at the top of the SSE Airtricty League Premier Division on Monday night.
The Candystrips drew 0-0 with third place Cork City at the Brandywell.
The result also keeps Cork just a point behind Derry in the standings but Derry have played three games more than the sides around them.
