In Athletics, Tori Pena has missed-out on a place in the final of the women’s pole vault.
She produced a best vault of 4metres and 30centimetres, but failed to clear 4.45m as she finished in 26th overall after today’s Qualifying Round.

Michael Conlan has suffered a shock defeat in Rio,
The reigning world champion was controversially beaten in today’s Bantamweight quarter-final.
Despite appearing to dominate the fight, the judges ruled that his opponent – Vladimir Nikitin (pr: Nee-key-tin) of Russia was the winner.
The London 2012 bronze medalist looked to be landing the cleaner punches from the very start, but bizarrely was judged to have lost the first round 9-10 across all three cards.
Conlan responded by increasing his work-rate to take the second round by the same margin.
The third round turned into a scrappy contest as both fighters visibly tired, but Conlan still appeared to have done enough to secure a second consecutive Olympic medal – only for the judges to rule against him.
Conlan, who is expected to turn professional after Rio, reacted furiously and stripped off his singlet and marched out of the arena – declaring that amateur boxing ‘stinks’.
