People are being reassured that the sea at Narin beach is safe to bathe in following reports of high levels of e-coli in the water.
It’s understood that last week test results indicated the water contained elevated levels of e-coli due to heavy rainfall in the area.
However the next day further samples revealed that levels had returned to normal.
Local Councillor Marie Therese Gallagher has been in touch with relevant bodies today and is reassuring people that the beach is safe to use:
