The search for a soldier who got in to difficulty while swimming in the sea in Bundoran on Tuesday has been suspended until the morning.
The Sligo based coast guard helicopter and the Bundoran RNLI were involved in the search on Tuesday for the 28 year-old.
They will be joined at first light by the Killybegs Coastguard – the army has also offered to join the search.
It is understood the alarm just before 6pm on Tuesday by a woman in a carpark after a group of swimmers signalled to her for help.
Another man, also believed to be a soldier, was treated on the beach by ambulance personnel after ingesting water.
