It’s emerged that an Aer Lingus plane came off the run way for a time when attempting to land at Donegal Airport last night.
The plane was carrying 17 passengers at the time.
It’s understood the incident happened during the heavy winds and lightning which battered the North West last night.
Stobart has issued a statement confirming that flight EI3408 from Dublin to Donegal experienced a minor issue upon landing yesterday evening.
Due to strong cross wind gusts, the aircraft momentarily drifted from the runway before being immediately redirected back onto the paved surface and making its way as normal to its parking position.
All 17 passengers disembarked the aircraft safely and no injuries were reported.
