Lorry driver arrested following death of pedestrian in Omagh

A 28 year old lorry driver has been arrested on suspicion of a number of motoring offences following the death of a pedestrian in Omagh.
In the early hours of this morning a man in his 20s died following a fatal collision with the lorry on the Great Northern Road in Omagh.
The pedestrian named as Neil McAleer was walking on the Great Northern Road near Brookmount Road when he was hit by the lorry.
The road has since re-opened between Dromore Road and Derry Road roundabout.
Police in the North are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
