Caolan Irwin takes first British Championship win as brother Rhys leads in Superteens

Caolan Irwin

It was another good weekend on the bikes in England for the Irwin brothers from Kilmacrennan.
In the penultimate round of the championship at Donington, Rhys has taken the outright lead in the Superteen category.
In the four races over Saturday and Sunday, he finished second in each one to stretch out a 35pt advantage with one weekend of racing left.
Thats 25 podiums and 5 wins under his belt this campaign.
Older brother Caolan put the huge disappointment from the previous round behind him to take his first win of the season in the 450 Aprilia Championship.
After 15 podiums this season,  Caolan lead  Race one on Sunday  from start to finish to take a superb win. In Race 2 he finished second while on Saturday he was p2 in both races.
The final round is at Cadwell Park on the weekend of 15th & 16th October.
