A senior official with Derry and Strabane District Council says the Northern Ireland Economic Conference which took place yesterday in the City Hotel was a major success. It was the 21st year of the conference, and the first time it took place outside of Belfast.
The council’s Head of Business Kevin O’Connor says the conference looked at the challenges posed by Brexit, but also stressed that there are opportunities for the whole region.
Whatever the outcome, he says, Derry and Donegal are in a good position to attract investment, and the strength of the cross border ties in the region was very much in evidence………….
