Police in Derry make appeal following robbery

Police in Derry are appealing for witnesses and information following the report of a robbery in the Nelson Drive area of the city on Thursday night.
At approximately 6:30pm on Thursday last a man was walking in the Nelson Drive area when he was attacked by two males from behind.
The man was hit him on the back of the head and dragged to the ground before the men made off with his wallet, containing a sum of money.
He sustained injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
The two males are described as being in their 20’s, one wearing a Northern Ireland top with blue tracksuit bottoms and the other a blue hooded top.
Constable McAlpin is appealing to anyone with any information to contact Police at Strand Road on the non-emergency number from Northern Ireland 101.
