Topaz Energy has announced that it is awarding €28,500 to clubs across Donegal.
The Cash for Clubs initiative was set up to give clubs the opportunity to generate much-needed funds by harnessing the support of their members and the local community.
11 clubs will benefit from the scheme with Letterkenny Rugby Club being awarded the Grand prize of €10,000.
In light of financial difficulties and fundraising challenges faced by clubs across Ireland, Topaz set up the ‘Cash for Clubs’ scheme last year to give clubs the opportunity to generate much-needed funds.
Club members had to collect tokens by fueling up at their local Topaz station, a random draw was then conducted for the cash prize winners.
Letterkenny Athletics Club, St. Eunan’s GAA Club, Twin Towns Boxing Club and Gweedore Celtic are a number of other clubs benefiting.
MJ Tierney, Brand Manager of Topaz commended the commitment shown by clubs from across Donegal this year which has been fantastic and he congratulates each club on their individual success as part of this year’s campaign.
