The Irish Farmers Association have described the proposed changes to the terms and conditions of the Rural Social Scheme as unacceptable.
Last month’s budget announced an additional 500 places on the scheme.
However, farmers have hit out at proposed new restrictions, including a three year time limit and a minimum age of 25.
