Police in Strabane say a security alert in the town is ongoing (Thursday evening)
A device exploded while police were on patrol in the area of Townsend Street shortly after 8.30pm on Tuesday night.
Supt Gordon McCalmont gave this update on the alert earlier this afternoon:
