Martin McGuinness has been laid to rest in the republican plot of his home city of Derry.
Tens of thousands attended his funeral mass in the Bogside of the city, and lined his funeral route from his family home.
The funeral eulogy was delivered by former US president Bill Clinton, who quoted from another famous Derryman, Seamus Heaney.
He read Heaney’s line about “walking on air against your better judgement” – and said Northern Ireland’s peacemakers had done that:
