A Donegal County Councillor believes the construction of the North West Greenway provides an ideal opportunity for Irish Water to carry out much needed repairs to the Inishowen Water supply.
The call comes following the latest burst to hit the area yesterday – this time in Bridgend.
The burst was fixed last night with Irish Water pointing out that the main village and businesses of Bridgend were not affected
Cllr Jack Murray says with plans already underway to dig up roads on the peninsula as part of the Greenway project, Irish Water should utilise that opportunity as a cost saving measure to bring the supply up to an acceptable standard………….
