Ulster Senior League hopeful on adding more clubs

The Annual general meeting of the Ulster Senior League took place on Monday night in Letterkenny.
The outgoing executive members were all voted back in again – among them chairman Johnny McCafferty, treasurer Donal Coyle and secretary Niall Callaghan.
Aside from the various league officer reports, delegates voted on a number of motions – the majority of which related to the wording of league rules.
And while a fair number of the motions were accepted without too much debate, others did generate quite a bit of discussion, among them the rules governing senior players who line out for Derry City Reserves and Finn Harps Reserves.
The league have also introduced a rule change which will allow them govern social media activity among members and players .
The number of clubs taking part in the Ulster Senior League remains at just seven – and the executive are continuing their efforts to improve on that.
League officials have met with the FAI and they still hold out hope that they can increase the number of participating clubs.
Here’s the league secretary – Niall Callaghan.
