European U20 Championships start today in Italy for Donegal Athletes

Two Donegal competitors will feature this morning on day one of the European U20 Athletics Championships in Grosseto, Italy.
Hammer thrower Brendan O’Donnell from Lifford/Strabane AC is involved in opening round qualifiers while Finn Valley’s Janine Boyle runs in the heats of the womens 100m.
Finn Valley’s Arlene Crossan will be on track on Friday for the 400m hurdles heats and again on Sunday for the 4x400m while her clubmate Shane Irwin has to wait to Sunday for the 4x100m relay.
