Declan Bonner confirmed as new Donegal Manager

Declan Bonner addresses the Special County Committee Meeting

As expected Declan Bonner has been ratified as the Donegal Senior Football Manager.
The Na Rossa man has been given a three year term succeeding Rory Gallagher.
Bonner was the selection committees  choice after a series of interviews and his move into the senior role was rubber stamped at a special county committee meeting at Jackson’s Hotel in Ballybofey.
The 1992 All Ireland winner was previously in charge of the senior team from 1997 to 2000 and in recent years guided the Donegal minors and U21’s to Ulster Championship success.
Buncrana’s Paul McGonigle, who was part of Jim McGuinness management team in 2014, will be Declan’s assistant with the rest of his backroon team to be finalised in the coming weeks.
