Pop star Adele is the person holidaymakers would most like to sit next to on a flight, according to new research.
The Grammy award winner (pictured) topped the fantasy travel companion poll of 1,025 people with 28% of the vote, ahead of new Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker who was in second place on 21%.
Kit Harington, who plays heartthrob Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, was ranked third with 13%.
The research was commissioned for travel trade show World Travel Market (WTM), which opens in London on Monday.
Prime Minister Theresa May and US President Donald Trump have both been under pressure in recent months, but they can celebrate beating Canadian singer-songwriter Justin Bieber in the ideal travel companion list.
Mrs May and Mr Trump scored 10% and 7% respectively, while Justin Bieber earned just 4% of the votes.
WTM spokesman Paul Nelson said: ‘It’s great to see that a down-to-earth celebrity such as Adele is the favourite in our poll of fantasy flight companions.
‘She would certainly be very lively company at 30,000 feet.
‘We were particularly surprised to see Donald Trump higher up the rankings than Justin Bieber.
‘Perhaps the president has more potential for in-flight entertainment, or maybe we just didn’t ask enough Beliebers.’
Game of Throne star Kit Harington was third on the list, 13 per cent of people asked wanted to sit next to him on a plane journey
