The GAA Programme in association with Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure, is broadcast every Wednesday from 8.30pm – 9pm.
On a week that Donegal and Galway are preparing to meet in a crunch Allianz National League game on Sunday in Letterkenny, A memorable meeting between the counties is recalled on this week’s programme.
None more memorable than the 1967 National League semi-final meeting in Croke Park, and the by now infamous penalty incident, recalled in the company of Michael (Mickey) McLoone from Ballyshannon and former player and manager Brian McEniff.
Also on this week’s programme, Tom is joined by St Eunan’s club chairman Cathal Greene, who are hosting Sunday’s game.
Cathal has done some interesting research on Donegal and Galway connections and he has come up with a host of names both past and present.
