Lecky wins IFAM Senior International in Belgium

Sommer Lecky of Finn Valley AC claimed victory in the High Jump at the IFAM Senior International which was held in Ghent, Belgium yesterday.
Her first jump was enough for the victory, with the young Castlederg athlete completing a jump of 1.86m, equalling her Irish record. Lecky attempted 1.89m, and came very close, but failed to clear.
Lecky claimed victory ahead of experienced opponents, most notably Bulgarian athlete Demireva Mirela, who is a former European and Olympic Silver medalist.
