The Government is being urged to provide funding for minor improvement works in Ballyliffin and the wider peninsula ahead of the Irish Open.
A funding application was submitted by Donegal County Council before Christmas that would contribute to upgrading rural roads and footpaths while also going towards the general upkeep of towns and villages.
Cllr. Martin McDermott says when other towns across the country hosted the event for the first time; they were given a specific allocation to get the area ready.
He says with deadlines to be met, the funding must be fast tracked without any further delay:
