PSNI Strabane warn motorists of dangers of leaving keys in vehicle

Police in Strabane have issued a warning to motorists to never ever leave keys in a vehicle.
They say there have been a number of reports in recent days of cars being stolen where the key has been left inside.
Meanwhile, Police are investigating a burglary that occurred in the Laurel Drive area of Strabane last Thursday during which a Volkswagen Golf was stolen.
The car has since been recovered and one man was arrested.
Meanwhile, police are also appealing for information following the theft of a vehicle in the Mill Street area of Newtownstewart on Tuesday night last.
It was reported that at some point between 12:15pm and 12:30 pm a black Toyota Avensis which was parked on Mill Street was stolen and made off along the Strabane Road to the A5.
