Rise in number of patients waiting on a bed at LUH

There were 21 people waiting on a bed at Letterkenny University Hospital today, up 9 on yesterday’s figure.
According to the INMO, 14 people were on trolleys in the hospital’s Emergency Department with a further 7 on wards.
Nationally, 548 people are awaiting admission to hospitals across the country, an increase of 59% on the same day last year.
